Anne W. Burrell was an actress on television, ex-chef of the Institute of Culinary Education and she was formerly an instructor of cooking. Anne W. While in Italy, she developed a profound appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine and its culture. This is a huge influence on the way that Burrell prepares her food. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to improve the lives of children who face obstacles. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation's celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of children's diabetes. In her capacity as a guest speaker and mentor she travels across the US to talk about her passion for cooking as well as her career.
